The next Zelda game be in a 2D style?

The Zelda franchise could be stepping back a dimension in the next instalment.

The Legend Of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma recently stated that the next Zelda game to release on the 3DS is in the works and is likely to be a brand new instalment, not following the style of the DS games, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Today Shigeru Miyamoto is  revealing his interest in developing another 2D styled Zelda game, namely Link To The Past-styled, but with added 3D visuals. Aonuma also states Miyamoto's interest in bringing the series back to its 2D gameplay and told Game Radars of the possibility we will see this in the future. What do you think about the return to 2D gameplay?
