Satoru Iwata has announced at Nintendo’s annual finiancial meeting that the forthcoming November firmware update will allow Nintendo 3DS systems to download content from the eShop while in Sleep Mode.
Iwata also revealed that Nintendo are working on a PC and Smartphone version of the eShop. At first users will only be able to view information such as review scores and basic game descriptions, however in the future users will be able to purchase content straight from the website.
