Free Zelda Four Swords details and release date

The free download of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords to all DSi and 3DS owners will be available on the 28th of September.

The game was confirmed to be coming this year at E3, and then sometime in September, and now finally we have a concrete date of September 28th. The game will be free to download via the DSi shop and the 3DS eShop and will stay there until the 20th of February next year. The original game was release alongside A Link to the Past on the Game Boy Advance but the version availble to download will be dubbed the 'Anniversary Edition' and has some awesome new features. The biggest of these features will be two brand new areas that each have three levels, the areas are called the 'Hero's Trial area' and the 'Realm Of Memories'  Both additional areas are optional but you will gain the spin attack move and the Master Sword by beating them so they are well worth playing. The game is intended for multiplayer and on the GBA you can't even play the game without another player, however the anniversary edition will also include a single player option that lets one person control two Link's, switching by using the L and R buttons. Nice to see Nintendo are putting effort into this, what do you think?
