Square Enix have revealed Dragon Quest X and a few details, including a planned Wii U release.
Fans have been waiting for Dragon Quest X ever since it's announcement in December 2008 and finally know it will be arriving on Wii in 2012, more interestingly it will also be releasing on Wii U. It won't matter which version you get though since they are both going to be identical, with the Wii U version boasting better graphics.
Another interesting announcement is that the game will be an online RPG giving players the ability to form parties with other players, regardless of which platform you have the game on you'll still be able to connect and play with owners of the opposite one in the same world. The Wii version will have a variety of control methods including the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro, this means it is likely the Wii U will also have these options since Nintendo has previously said Wii U will be backwards compatible with all Wii accessories. The Wii game will also have support for the USB keyboard much like Monster Hunter Tri allowing players to type messages to communicate with other players. You can check out a video of gameplay here.
