New details about the Family Edition Wii have arrivied and it turns out it is not so much of a redesign.
We posted last week about the new revision of the Wii that will release before Christmas in Europe (article here) and details at the time suggested that the console was slimmer, hence the lack of GameCube compatibility, but it turns out we were wrong. The consoles dimensions are revealed to be 157mm tall, 44mm wide and its length is 215.4 mm, the same as every other Wii! It makes even less sense to me knowing this but I guess it is aimed at families and the such. I'm not sure what they have done with them empty space gained from removing the GameCube parts but I'm guessing that the reason the were taken out is to save manufacturing costs and most likely a lower selling price for the public. What are you thoughts on the new bundle?
